Steve Jobs from Apple computers knew this. The idea was that if you stripped things down to their most essential elements their function become beautifully intuitive.
The good folks at BasicClothing approach their apparel this way.
BasicClothing is a Danish brand that sells basic menswear primarily in black and white.
However, unlike Apple Computers, BasicClothing embraces the organic happy mistakes of design vs. perfectionism.
My artistic side embraces BasicClothing’s manifesto:
"We believe in the power of thinking small. In being real rather than perfect. In taking risks and breaking rules. In viewing everything as an experiment.
We believe in making art for humans, not "consumers."
In talking with people, not at them.
In celebration simplicity.
In loving what we do."
