Introducing the Music of Ser Franklin

6/8/2017

When you're adopted at 10 months old by an Italian family and by 19 your adopted parents pass away there is no doubt you may find yourself with a lonely soul.

That's the shortened story of musical artist, Ser Franklin. Lucky for us, Ser Franklin is still writing his story...or should I say, history?

Ser Franklin's debut album, Lonely Soul, was recently released and made available across all digital platforms.

The song, Ain’t No Other Way, shown in the video above, underscores Ser Franklin's feeling of loneliness as it depicts a break-up, or perhaps a love that never got started, but would never be able to exist if it did.

However, the song has a self-empowering appeal that identifies inner strength when Ser Franklin sings, "N
ot every story is gonna last forever / can't trust in you so i need to trust in me / and we must know by now."

Being originally from Brazil, but growing up with his adopted family in Italy, Ser Franklin's musical style is eclectic.

As a young adult he studied abroad in Denver, CO in the United States and there fell in love with the sounds of jazz. He mixed that jazz inspiration with soulful influences of artists like, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Donny Hathaway and others to reach the Ser Franklin sound.

Ser Franklin may be feeling less lonely these days as Lonely Soul gains more popularity continuing to grow his fan-base.  Be sure to check out the album.
